puppies
im going to plow through yesterday and today and hopefully get caught-up.
yesterday was rather uneventful. had onigiri for breakfast, dropped off a letter at the post office, shopped for groceries. we ended up buying oreos, ritz crackers, plus ingredients for pb&j sandwiches and pancakes. surprisingly, my host mother was the one who picked out the pancake mix; she wanted pancakes for lunch.
once we were done eating we sewed beanbags. my host sister explained that juggling was popular in japan during the heian period.
after that, i studied kanji.
i also made plans to meet kawamura-sensei this friday.
my host mother and sister and i picnicked at a nearby park. unfolded a big blanket and had sandwiches and buttery crackers and chocolate cookies and cold soda for dinner.
just then a really, really cute puppy bounded over and leaped into my lap. for a long time it refused to leave.
other puppies approached me, too. dachshunds and black labs and dalmations. it was so fun.
i dreamt last night that i got in a huge fight with my mom. i think i spent some time with pat afterwards. i just remember waking up and feeling... safe and relaxed and comforted.
i miss him so much.
anyway, the foreign exchange student orientation was today. other than that, not much else happened.
done!
