diaries usually have titles that have nothing to do with the diary itself

everything that went down

15 September 2001 |||

I find it interesting how everyone has a different way of addressing the terrorist activity that took place on Tuesday.

Some choose to tip-toe around getting to the point so they don't offend anyone: 'the tragedy that befell the nation this past Tuesday.'

Some, like me, decide to tell it like it is: 'the acts of terrorism that occured last week.'

Out of all the different ways of describing the events that played out on September 11th, a local radio station says it best: 'everything that went down on Tuesday.' Not only do they use slang to relate to the stoners that tune into their radio frequency, but buildings literally 'went down,' thus giving the elderly no reason to be condescending towards the younger generation.

Now there's something worthy of my admiration.
