Get over yourself

I'm not saying that with Obama as president, nothing bad is ever going to happen again. I'm not saying that he's not going to make mistakes. What I am saying is, it's going to be a breath of fresh air having a president in office who actually has a good command of the English language.

It was so surreal. Kicking back at Applebee's, sipping long island iced teas, and the next thing I know the waiter is at our table and he's telling us Obama won. He's telling us that all of our wildest dreams have come true. Someday I'll look back on this and count on my fingers everything Obama's done wrong, but right now, I couldn't be happier.

My friends and I, we took to the streets. We heard cars honking and people screaming and honking and screaming, so we went out to try to find where it was coming from.

We found where it was coming from. There were so many people, and they were walking the streets of downtown Minneapolis, celebrating Obama's win. People would drive by and honk and we'd all get swept up in the moment and start screaming and throw our hands in the air. There were police cars. There was even an ambulance. There had to have been rioting somewhere.

It was one of those things I'll never forget.

If you're one of those people who's "scared" of Obama because he's a Marxist, a socialist, or a terrorist, you need to get over yourself. If we survived after 8 years of President Cowboy, I think Obama will do just fine.
